The institution gives continuity to the experience accumulated since 1979 by the international cooperation organization and institution of higher and continuing education called CESTAS, which from Bologna Italy has worked in more than 30 countries in the promotion of the values of solidarity and the defense of human rights through cooperation, projects in developing countries, the provision of appropriate technologies in the field of health and the environment, training initiatives and public awareness.
In the last 15 years, together with Italian universities such as the University of Bologna, Parma and foreign universities such as the Andrés Bello University of Chile, the director of H.T.C. It has organized more than 70 courses including university master’s degrees, university postgraduate courses, continuous training courses and professional exchanges and internships. Offering training opportunities to more than 8,000 health professionals, the vast majority of whom come from emerging or developing countries.
Italy is the conjunction of the necessary theoretical part, with practical activities, study visits and scientific exchanges within the Italian health structures and in particular in the Emilia-Romagna region.
HTC Itlay is committed to promoting:
• The design, promotion and implementation of health training programs;
• Organization of professional training courses both in Italy and abroad on issues related to one’s own work;
• The promotion of scientific research, also in collaboration with university research centers;
• The creation of relationships at the national and international level with entities that pursue similar goals, public and private;
• The promotion of collaborative relationships, specified by agreements or contracts, with local entities, universities, research centers, health companies, companies, foundations, development agencies, regions, national or foreign ministries, to achieve institutional goals. .
Vision
HTC Italy is committed to the creation of professional and institutional associations, for the reduction of imbalances in universal access to health. It believes in investing in the skills and knowledge of individuals as a tool to build bridges between different groups and social actors, between the local and the global, between included and excluded subjects. HTC Italy promotes the development of a solidarity perspective and equity among citizens.
